1. The first 30-minute consultation is complimentary to understand the goals, needs and expectations of the family and student. We can meet in person or via Skype.
2. A contract and release of information form will be signed before we get started. The family will fill out a questionnaire and provide all transcripts and standardized test results.
3. Conduct an initial one hour consultation for assessment, goal setting and helping families to set priorities for the educational journey.
4. Advise and provide referral for student psychological educational evaluation if necessary.
5. Evaluate the student’s extra curricular activities, interests, and awards.
6. Recommend test prep, academic course selection and enrichment opportunities to best prepare for the upcoming application.
7. Create a personalized admission process calendar with a detailed timetable for school visits, interviews, testing, applications, and decisions.
8. Use the information discovered in our discussions and academic profile to develop a list of schools that will be an appropriate fit for the student, taking into consideration academic rigor, social and emotional and family values.
9. Prepare the student for school visits and interview process. Review all admission application materials, including proof-reading essays before submission. Assist with financial aid and scholarship applications.
10. Advocate on student’s behalf.
11. Discuss final school decisions and manage wait lists and school revisits.
12. Provide support as needed in the student’s first year of transition and remain in contact with family throughout their educational journey.
Note: Some services may be obtained a la carte for an hourly rate, with a minimum of three hours.
